AVOIDING CONTROVERSIES
Avoid controversies and solve personal and family problems, especially disagreements with friends, through the use of wise principles and mediation.
If someone makes a statement with which you disagree and you say nothing, sometimes it just disappears into oblivion. But challenging it turns it into an ISSUE, and ISSUES tend to blossom. Frequently, however, you might realize that there is no chance of changing some obstinate person's point of view, and a heated discussion, or, indeed, an argument, can serve no purpose.
Bryan Bell's book Lessons in Lifemanship tells how to avoid controversies and work out amicable solutions to your problems.
